Sound System Exhibition Report – PSDS Demak, July 29–30, 2023

The Paguyuban Rental Sound System Demak community held a Sound System Exhibition on July 29-30, 2023. The exhibition aimed to foster camaraderie and share experiences among members, audio equipment manufacturers, and vendors.

In 2023, the exhibition was held at Desa Wisata Candisari, Mraggen District, Demak Regency, Central Java. The event was enlivened by sponsors and rental companies from around Demak and Semarang regencies. Sponsors and participants included Fest, Harddwell, Borneo, Hz-Pro, Dexo, Zetapro, JK Acoustic, SPL, and Rhyme. Additionally, 20 rental companies participated, either in the Ground Stack or Hajatan classes.

For participants/rentals, a competition was held for the highest SPL score using a mandatory song provided by the committee. Sponsors were also given the opportunity to demo their best speakers, competing alongside the rental participants.

Event & Bazaar

Visitors were very enthusiastic about visiting the booths and attending product sound demos from each sponsor. At the ACR booth, attractive promotions were offered, such as bonus merchandise (t-shirts & hats) with every purchase and items for auction sale. The event also featured the launch and introduction of the latest ACR series product, the Fabulous 113188 (double magnet).

On this occasion, we collaborated with one of the users and fans of ACR-Rhyme products, Bang Jack (MJM Pro), who helped sell ACR speakers. Bang Jack successfully sold several ACR products ranging from 6in to 18in Fabulous types and the 18700 Deluxe as well.

For this event, ACR-RHYME brought 6 boxes of Rhyme RM 103 LA line array and 6 boxes of Rhyme RM 1283 SB subwoofer. The Rhyme speaker performance received much praise from visitors, both locals from Demak and visitors from outside Demak. The sound and character produced by the Rhyme speakers were excellent, with a comfortable and clear sound that did not distort when heard both up close and from a distance.
