PSST VISIT TO SINAR BAJA ELECTRIC FACTORY
Tuesday, October 01, 2024
At the end of September 2024, PSST (Persatuan Sound System Tradisional) visited the Sinar Baja Electric factory for a tour and sound testing session. Around 50 members attended the event. The owner of Sinar Baja Electric, Mr. Hendro Sunjoto, personally welcomed the PSST members and engaged in friendly discussions.
Upon arrival, the attendees received goodie bags filled with merchandise prepared by the SBE marketing team. The tour then commenced with members split into three groups, each consisting of 15–20 people, moving through the production area and warehouse where speakers are stored before shipment to distributors.
In the afternoon, a sound test was held featuring Rhyme’s latest RM 226 LA, powered by amplifiers R4500 and R7000, and the RM 1283 Mk1, driven by the newly launched R17000-D. On the left side, a prototype of the RM 1283 Mk1 was displayed without paint or metal mesh, allowing participants to closely examine its build quality. This prototype was also set up in a two-way configuration with RM 225 M Mk4 as the full-range driver. Initially seated quietly, participants grew increasingly excited and approached the sound system to get a better view.
During the breaks, several members visited the bazaar area, where ACR’s latest products were showcased — including the Black Series, Fabulous Limited Editions, and 18-inch speakers with new cone paper design. The SBE team also addressed questions collected through the event’s registration form.
To cap off the event, door prizes — ranging from tweeter drivers to subwoofers — were given out. The session became even more festive as participants were invited to actively draw their prizes.
"We are truly happy and very grateful to have learned firsthand how Sinar Baja Electric speakers are produced. It clears our doubts and affirms that these products are truly made in Indonesia — real works of the nation," said Mr. Yahya, Chairman of PSST, during the closing remarks.
